The players that enjoy Battlefield 2042 and have access to EA Play can finally rejoice — the game will become available for subscribers of the service on November 22. Another exciting news is that the addition of the game takes place right alongside the launch of Season 3: Escalation.
Players that use EA Play will now be able to play the game for free. Obviously, there is a subscription fee of $4.99, but you get access to such a huge collection of games published by EA that the price is totally worth it. In addition to the already published games, players that use this subscription also get access to various game discounts and can try new releases.
Also, this addition of Battlefield 2042 to EA Play means that gamers that are members of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate will also be able to enjoy the game for free. The membership provides players with more than a hundred different games for different platforms — smartphones, consoles, and PCs. The Ultimate subscription comes with an EA Play membership, so if you already have it, you will be able to play Battlefield 2042 without any issues.
EA also provides players with a free trial for a limited time. Users of Xbox, Steam on PC, and PlayStation will have an opportunity to play the game for free on some dates in December. This includes:
- December 1-5 — free access for Steam players
- December 1-4 — free access for Xbox players
- December 16-23 — free access for PlayStation players
As for the upcoming Season 3: Escalation will bring interesting content to the game. Players will be able to have fun on the new Spearhead map, which takes place in Sweden. The new season will feature some exciting firearms, such as NVK-S22 Smart Shotgun and Rorsch Mk-4-Railgun.
