The player is given a basic storyline in which a new family has moved into the neighborhood. The player is left up to decide whether to befriend or to capture the neighbor.

They are given three different pieces of equipment to use: a radio to distract him, a fishing rod to distract him with a fishing line, and a torch to reveal the traps on the floor. The player has to avoid the neighbor's detection while in the process of creeping up on him.
