Meet Dawntrail: The Fifth Major Expansion of Final Fantasy XIV

The much-awaited Fan Fest dedicated to Final Fantasy XIV swung into high gear on July 28 in the heart of Las Vegas. Scheduled for a summer 2024 release, Dawntrail will be the fifth significant expansion for the beloved Final Fantasy XIV. The expansion is set for an intriguing twist, as it will transport players to the much-desired tropical vibes of the beach. The mainland adventure, however, will unfurl in Tural, a far-off land located to the west of Eorzea in the game's New World.

The forthcoming expansion offers an engaging narrative where players must take part in a succession rite—a competition where they vie for crowning Tural's future ruler. The contest promises to introduce an unexpected layer of conflict, as it may ignite deep-seated divisions among the game's protagonists, the Scions, thereby enriching the narrative depth.
