Rockstar Plans to Work on VR Games

Legendary publisher of GTA V is going to focus on more VR games. It looks like Rockstar is working hard to resurrect its classical names, like GTA the Trilogy on modern devices. Thus, the San Andreas-based game as part of the trilogy returns twice to the fans. Rockstar Games collaborates with Meta, which is the new name of Facebook we will probably get used to soon. Together they are working on intensifying their appearance at the VR market with the Oculus Quest 2.

CEO of Take-Two Interactive, the parent company of Rockstar Games, Strauss Zelnick confirmed that the company chooses VR. He shared the news during the announcement of the financial results of the 2nd quarter of 2021. According to him the company always wanted to keep up with the consumer. Currently, VR technologies are on demand and they are ready to provide the product on the market. He said that they are excited to see their VR products.

The CEO reminded us that the company already has LA Noire, created in VR. There is also NBA 2K that joined the new reality. He said that there will be other names in the future. Although the team is excited to meet new challenges, according to Zelnick, the company will not share the upcoming plans for now.

We don’t know when GTA: San Andreas VR edition will appear. Meanwhile, Rockstar has already released the date for remastered versions of GTA III, GTA Vice City, and GTA San Andreas. They will be available for players on November 11. GTA V still has more information to share with players. There are numerous rumors about its edition. The game is on-demand, fueled by speculations about it. Developers have sold 155 million copies of the game around the world.
