Do you only work for money? Any HR will easily name two other groups of stimuli: on one hand, it’s the perspective and self-actualization, on the other, there are perks like insurance, fuel, education, and other things your employer may provide. Spotify makes a step to appear on this list too by developing its new “Spotify for Work” plan.
It’s just what you may think: this plan is meant for employers who can buy it wholesale for employees which will get it for free as a perk for work. The plan lasts as long as it’s prolonged by the employer and as long as the employee remains one. One of the principal features of this offering is that employees can use Spotify any time they like: no matter if they want to listen to it at the factory or the office (as long as the corporate code allows for it) or elsewhere.
So far, though, Spotify only launches it in its home region. Along with Sweden, Spotify’s motherland, the offer is available in Baltic countries, namely Lithuania and Latvia (but not Estonia yet). If the experiment is successful, though, it will surely spread all over the globe. The partnership Spotify formed for this project hints exactly at that.
To promote the idea. Spotify teams up with Accenture, the firm that specializes in lots of corporate branches, for example, HRM, and operates all over the world. This partner is serious, and it must see some potential in the idea. Not that it’s expensive to subscribe, but here comes another factor. As you grow your account, you become more attached to it. Hey, it’s a great reason to do your best and stay loyal to the company when your thoroughly crafted playlists depend on it!
Would you consider free Spotify Premium a serious perk when filing your CV? Is it a self-sufficient value for you or rather an indicator of attitude? And do you like to work to some music? If so, which genre? Tell us your story of work and music in the comments if you please!
